We love our projects throughout the year. Our students just completed a project about the Birmingham bombing. Students in middle school are reading in Language Arts, “The Secret Life of Bees”, which integrates with our Social Studies classroom about the civil rights movement. We know that black lives matter, but what did really happen throughout the years, and how can we prevent such events happening ever again? All this comes down to our interdisciplinary projects. Students are learning how to find out meaningful information and turn it into their own project.
