Congratulations to our elementary girls’ basketball team! Our Lady Seahawks beat First Baptist 16-6 for their 2nd championship in a row! The girls were truly amazing. Our team dominated every aspect of the game, playing tenacious defense and out rebounding their opponent throughout the contest, This is the second straight season the girls go undefeated on their way to the championship. This group of girls will be force to be reckoned with for years to come. Way to go Seahawks!
We also want to acknowledge our middle school girls’ basketball team. The girls fought hard all season and really grew as basketball players and as a team. They played a great game against Potential Christian in the semi-finals, finishing the 3rd quarter with a one point lead, but a couple of long jump shots by Potential in the 4th quarter left them without enough time for a comeback. Although it was a tough loss, we couldn’t be prouder of our girls and look forward to next season.
